Our efficient workshop processes and close attention to detail mean that we are well positioned to cater to all your fabrication needs. We are experts at delivering steel to a tight time frame and often come up with creative alternatives to the fabrication process that can save you time and money.
This is only possible because we work hard to understand your business and recognise where we can add value. A recent project for North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery, required the fabrication of 17 tonnes of steel for Bridge 90 as part of the road repairs following the Kaikoura earthquake.
Working with project managers and engineers, we were able to suggest an alternative way of meeting their brief that saved our customer both time and money.
Quality workmanship to the highest standard
Our staff follow all workshop procedures to comply with AS/NZ 1554.1 ensuring that your fabricated steel project is of the highest quality. We can provide full traceability of materials and test certificates and work with third party welding inspectors to ensure that all fabrication meets engineer’s requirements.
All required inspection paperwork / PS3 required for your project is provided on completion. We are excited to announce that we are working with SCNZ towards the Steel Fabricator Certification Scheme and aim to have this completed by mid 2018.
Knowing that we manufacture structural steelwork according to international best practice will give our customers even greater peace of mind when choosing Think Steel as their preferred steel supplier.
